Chapter Sisterhood

Tri Delta’s sisterhood means a lot to each of its members. The new members are greeted by the Phi family the second we meet them on Bid Day. Our Bid Day Buddies welcome one or two new members and help them through their first few weeks in our chapter. A few weeks later, we have our Sponsor Ceremony followed by the reveal of Bigs and Littles. During the ceremony, the new members become part of a Delta family. These families not only are there to feel welcome in our chapter, but to help guide each other through college, be there for academics and careers, and make Tri Delta feel like a second family.

Leading up to Initiation, we have a week called I-Week. 4 days during that week, the new members are paired up with each member class. One day they are with the sophomores, the next they are with the juniors, the third they are with the seniors, and finally, they spend time on the last day with their own pledge class. Throughout the entire semester, however, we have multiple Sisterhoods with the entire chapter ranging from movie nights to craft nights, and even going to Hawkeye sporting events together. Each of these events brings us together as a chapter and continues to make our bonds grow stronger. The sisterhood of the Phi Chapter is something that we will never forget. It started with friendships and grew into a family; we wouldn’t trade it for the world.
